Laura Quiñones
Growing up on the border sparked my creativity in countless ways, and I was fortunate to spend my formative years in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. This culturally vibrant environment nurtured my inventive spirit and set me apart from my peers, reinforcing my passion for art. I pursued this passion academically, earning my BFA in Metals and Graphic Design under the guidance of master metalsmith Rachelle Thiewes at the University of Texas at El Paso. For more than 30 years, I’ve built my career as a professional artist, metalsmith, and instructor. Since making San Antonio my home in 1998, I’ve developed lasting relationships with private clients, galleries, and jewelry shops throughout the US and Mexico.
Alongside my full time studio practice, I have spent almost 10 years teaching—most notably at the Southwest School of Art, now UT San Antonio—where I’ve shared my experience and passion with generations of students.
My current body of work combines enameling, powder coating, embroidery, and hand-fabricated metal forms to create distinctive art jewelry often inspired by botanical and organic themes.
Andrea Sepulveda

In 2011 After her senior collection won 1st place in Design, 2nd in Construction and Best in Show she went immediately to work as assistant designer for Niche Clothing. Andrea has shown her work at events like the King William Fair, the San Antonio Museum of Art Holiday Market, On & Off Fredericksburg and many more around Texas and the surrounding states. With additional experience as a yoga teacher and workshop instructor, teaching others about creativity has become another passion for the artist.
