Explore the playful side of enameling with Cloisonné Basics! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create vibrant, graphic cloisonné enamel pieces.
Using fine silver wire, copper, and colorfu enamels, you’ll design and create your own cloisonné-style pendants from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll learn the fundamentals of preparing your metal, applying and sifting enamel, shaping and attaching fine silver wires, wet packing, firing, stoning, and finishing.
We’ll also explore foils, gradations, and layering techniques to add depth, color, and visual interest to your work.
Whether you’re an experienced enamelist looking to expand your skills or completely new to cloisonné and excited to explore kiln-fired enamels, this class is designed to welcome all levels.
*For Students wanting to work with fine silver, materials are available with an additional cost on the first day of class

Studio Lab Hours Included
Learning doesn’t end when class is over. Your enrollment includes a weekly supervised Studio Lab where you’ll have dedicated bench time to practice new techniques, continue class projects, as you refine your skills. It’s the perfect opportunity to experiment and make the most of your time at the bench.
By the end of six weeks, you’ll leave with a collection of samples and finished jewelry!
