This short, hands-on check ensures you’re comfortable and competent with basic studio tools and safety practices. It’s not a test—it’s a chance for us to confirm you can work independently and safely in the space.
To be eligible, you must have completed an introductory jewelry or metalsmithing course (either with us or elsewhere). During the assessment, you’ll demonstrate fundamental techniques like sawing, soldering, and proper tool use.
Once you pass the assessment, you’ll be cleared to purchase lab session packs and begin using the studio during open lab hours.
