Intermediate Metalsmithing: Expanding Your Creative Practice
Weekly Class Series
Welcome to the next chapter of your metalsmithing journey!
Designed for students ready to move beyond the basics, this intermediate-level class focuses on expanding your technical skills while encouraging you to explore your own creative voice at the bench. Through a series of guided projects and technique-based explorations, you’ll discover new ways to add depth, texture, color, and dimension to your jewelry designs.
Throughout the course, you’ll be introduced to techniques that open up new creative possibilities, including the vibrant art of enameling, creating dimensional forms and rich textures, and acid etching for developing detailed patterns and imagery in metal.
Each week builds upon your existing foundation, helping you refine your craftsmanship, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and approach your designs with greater confidence and intention.
By the end of the course, you’ll leave with expanded technical skills, a deeper understanding of your personal style, and the confidence to take on more advanced projects, develop a cohesive body of work, or begin exploring jewelry production.
